If you already have a First Aid certificate before starting this course, it must still have at least 12 months left on it on the day the course begins.
Addtionally you will need to complete the Online ACT Awareness [Blue] and Act Security [Orange] available on E-Learning | ProtectUK before attending the course.

QUALIFICATION DETAILS
The SIA Refresher is a streamlined, current qualification for security practioners working across the UK private security sector.
Designed with real operational experience in mind, the course provides practical, relevant training aligned with current licence-linked requirements and emerging security challenges.
Successful completion confirms renewed competence for SIA licence renewal and recognised throughout the UK private security industry.
Ongoing professional development is recommended in line with organisational policy and the SIA renewal cycle.
PRACTICAL ASSESSMENTS are held on Friday to Sunday at our training centre 166-168 Townsend Lane Anfield, Liverpool L139DN

OVERVIEW
The QNUK Close Protection Refresher (RQF) is a short, licence-linked qualification for existing close protection operatives who need to renew their SIA Close Protection licence.
In simple terms, it is about making sure experienced operatives remain current, safe, lawful, and professionally competent before continuing to work under an SIA licence.

Physical intervention refresher skills
Safe, proportionate, non-pain-compliant skills relevant to close protection, including separation, protective positioning, and extraction to safety.
Terror threat awareness and vulnerable people
Recognising hostile indicators, understanding protective responsibilities, and responding appropriately to people who may be at risk.
CERTIFICATION
On successful completion, QNUK will notify the SIA directly that you have met the required training, enabling you to renew your licence without unnecessary delay.
